Anmerkung | 1)According to a directive from 2008 issued by the then-president of UZH, the term "Privatdozent" is not to be translated. This decision was based on the fact that the term is well-known in academic circles. 2) The term privatdozent in the plural should be "privatdozents." 3) This term is in the Oxford Dictionary and defined as follows: In German and some other universities: a private teacher or lecturer not on the salaried staff but usu. accorded official recognition, access to university resources, etc.; also in extended use. |
