| Anmerkung | 1) Often the German will use the term "Professur" to avoid clumsy phrases, generally when using inclusive language. Translators must decide whether it is more fitting to write "(full) professorship" or "(full) professor(s)". 2) Professors may also be appointed "ad personam". These positions are generally temporary. Otherwise a professor ad personam has the same rights as other professors of the corresponding rank. In addition, ad personam professorships are linked to a person, not a department. After the ad personam professor leaves UZH, the position will not necessarily be filled. |
