GrammatikNoun
Anmerkung"Scholar" is not generally used for "Wissenschaftler / Wissenschaftlerinnen" in the natural sciences. There the term "scientist" is most common. However, in order to avoid the common but incorrect association of "Wissenschaft" with "science" on the part of German speakers, we have chosen not to list "scientist" as a translation for "Wissenschaftler / Wissenschaftlerin".
Translators must decide which English term is most appropriate.
